Unless the players you're playing against are very short, I doubt it.  But it depends where you play.  I am 5'11 and I play shooting guard.  I was in a South East Asian country earlier this year, and met a highschool basketball centre who was 5'9.  Lol.I have played small forward in university practice games, but shooting guard is my natural position, and playing against 6'4 6'6 guys isn't fun.  I have some hops so that helps. But really it is extremely difficult, but you know...if you love the game, you play to enjoy the game, not to be in the NBA.  Work hard and play for the love of the game.

As for you, you are pretty tall. I am 5'3  and i am in the basketball team. All you have to do is, when you are closer to the basket, even though you can shoot, if you are not confident pass to someone taller. That way you will score a goal and your team members will pass more often to you
