right now, hate him. come next season, he is on Hendrick Motorsports, gonna pull for him as much as the other team members.

Here is my opinion. He is a medicore driver, who survives on the legacy of his dads name. Sr. was one hell of a driver, i wasnt a fan but he could drive a race car, Jr just isnt focused on winning races. He is doing commercials, music videos, living it up, and not concentrating on racing. Will he win a few more races next year? probably cause HMS has amazing equipment but he is going on almost 2 full years without winning and he doesnt have that killer instinct like Gordon, Stewart, Johnson etc does. I just wonder if it doesnt work out at HMS, then who does he blame? He is a mid-level driver at best and its ashame he piggybacks off the name that his father made so famous.

He is a good driver put into an akward situation because of his family heritage. More is expected from some, some like to put him down. I believe he is a racer like all the others who really wants to win.

Anyone who says he is mediocre is basing their opinions on the past couple of seasons in which DEI issues have been heavy, go back to his Busch and early cupp career, when he was winning races, and the number of accidents he has been involved in? Come on, he is not mediocre, give the credit where it is due. Is he is father??? No, however, a mediocre driver would be a Joe Nemechek, David Green, Kyle Petty, Elliot Sadler, etc... Junior is not mediocre.

I like Jr. Excited about him racing for Hendrick next year but not so much about him being Gordon and Johnsons teammate. I will always be a Jr fan and cheer for him but as for his teammates, I'm sorry.

Matt, got this one right...if he was a bad driver he would have never gotten 17 wins and 2 busch championships.....He will be in super great equipment next yr, then everyone can just see for themselves, what a difference this is going to make..I'm so ready for next yr..Go Dale Jr & HMS

Dale Jr. is one heck of a driver. Like others have said you dont win two championships in Busch and not be a good driver.This year he has been plagued by bad engines, but when his engines have been good, he finished good.Some people cant stand him just because of who his Father was and think that he had it easy and is riding on Dale Srs. name which is so far from the truth.If it were true he wouldnt be leaving TEI.He is a good, decent role model for kids too. Now for the greatest thing about him.......HE NEVER WHINES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything he has gotten was because Earnhardt was his father. That's the same reason Kerry Earnhardt has been in cup racing all these years, because of his father.........oh wait

Over-rated driver with a famous last name. 2 Busch titles are okay, but NEXTEL is the big leagues & 17 Nextel cup wins, wow, but when was his last win? What happens when or if he loses at HMS, then what are the excuses going to be? Average driver along with Biffle, Newman & the rest of the field. Top drivers are Gordon, Stewart, Johnson. They know how to win, Jr hasn't figured it out yet.
