What happened to John Force? Why is he hurt?

me and my dad were watching espn 2 and we noticed that John Force had a walker, a cast on his arm, and tape on alot of his fingers... did he crash in his funny car or what? answers are much appreciated thanx!

He was involved in a bad accident in Dallas. Hope he comes back next year. He is so entertaining in an interview.
