As a Celtic fan, if they had played their usual 4-4-2, Barca would have probably thrashed them. Taking this into account their manager, Walter Smith, set out his team accordingly and that was to stifle Barca.Rangers are not the first team to try this approach in taking on Barcelona, and it is unfair to try to make an example stating they are boring.Italian football does it every week at club and international level as well.I watched the game last night, and the obvious problem is Henry has never played 4-3-3 in his life.

Considering Rangers restricted Barca to two or three decent chances whilst creating the same themselves over the 90mins . Cost of Rangers team £10-15 million, Barcelona about 10times that, Rangers had a game plan, stuck to it and it worked out.  A point was a good result for Rangers and if you watched the game, you would see that Barca settled for a point long before the final whistle blew. was Barca's 'side to side keep ball' for the final few minutes a wee bit 'anti' too?
